Semerbak Aroma Kopi Bawakaraeng Sulawesi Indonesia - The Scent of Bawakaraeng Coffee

Hembusan hawa dingin semilir menemani perjalanan kami menyusur hutan pinus, semakin kedalam mencapai ketinggian sekitar 1000 mdpl mulai tampak lebatnya tanaman kopi dikanan kiri jalan setapak. Beberapa kali kami petik buah kopi warna merah dan kuning untuk dilumat layaknya luwak. Ternyata rasanya manis.

Inilah salah satu perjalanan kami menuju perkebunan kopi dibawah kaki Gunung Bawakaraeng, Sulawesi Selatan.

Blowing cold air accompanied our journey along the pine forest, deeper into reaching an altitude of about 1000 meters above sea level began to appear dense coffee plants on the left footpath. Several times we picked red and yellow coffee fruit to be crushed like a mongoose. It turned out sweet.

This is one of our trips to the coffee plantation under the foot of Mount Bawakaraeng, South Sulawesi. The intervention program for the inclusive economy of this coffee commodity is located in several slopes of Mount Bawakaraeng such as Sinjai, Bantaeng, Jeneponto and Gowa. The program starts from the upstream process such as supplying superior coffee seeds, growing Arabica and Robusta coffee, cultivation technical assistance, post-harvest processing, to downstream trade. The increasing trend of world needs has become a trigger for growth and prosperity, starting from the farmers and cooperatives involved.
